Why go on a fly-fishing adventure in Greenland? Greenland is not only a destination with beauty so great it takes my breath away, but it is also the wildest place on earth for arctic char fishing. There is an abundance of arctic char between 1-7lbs+.
This will be an opportunity to truly disconnect from the stressors of our society and to reconnect with nature at its core. Our camp does not have cellphone connection. This gives us more time to connect: Fetching ice from the glacier for your drink, fighting arctic char on light tackle, singing to songs on the guitar, and enjoying the most beautiful scenery Greenland has to offer.
First, we’ll fly from Reykjavik to Narsarsuaq, Greenland on the 6th of July. Then we get on the water — the boat to our camp takes about 2.5 hours, all with unbeatable views along the way. We’ll stay at our camp from 6-13th July 2024, fly-fishing both from home waters and on day trips by boat. And finally, we’ll fly back from Narsarsuaq to Reykjavik on 13th July.
There are 12 cabins at the camp (with twin beds) that are built around a dining lodge. This is a wilderness camp located remotely with peaceful surroundings. Nevertheless, it offers running water, showers, and a sauna to make the stay most enjoyable.
During your stay, the menu originates from the area – with entrees such as caribou meat, arctic char, and fish right from the sea.
